Tesco deals

At Ocado and Morrisons

In the run up to the festive season, supermarkets run a corker of a deal offering 25% off six bottles or more of wine and fizz.

Here's where you can get this deal:

• Morrisons - in store and online with a More Card until Sunday 29 November.

• Ocado - online until Tuesday 3 November. Max 18 bottles per customer.

Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco* all previously ran the same offer, with their deals ending at either the end of October or the beginning of November. We'll update here if any other supermarkets launch or relaunch the same offer in the future.

Clubcard deals on tech & household appliances

🗓️ Predicted from Thursday 19 November till Monday 30 November

Last year, Tesco launched its Clubcard-only Black Friday offers on 20 November, with deals on selected tech and household appliances online and in larger stores. Products included an Oral-B electric toothbrush, Revlon hair dryer & volumiser, Wahl shaver, and a Tefal cookware set.

Don't assume the Clubcard price will be the cheapest though. The majority of online deals we checked were cheaper elsewhere, while Tesco's in-store offers looked stronger. The ranges differed too, so it could be worth checking what's available in your local larger store as well as online.

When an adult makes any purchase (cheapest 65p). Clubcard members only

Kids can eat for free at any Tesco café (over 300 of them – find your nearest*) when an adult makes a purchase in the café, and scans their Clubcard any day of the week. If you're not a Clubcard member, you can register online for free.

This offer is available until Friday 18 December.

You can get one free kids' meal per item purchased by an adult in the café.

The great thing about this offer compared to many other kids eat 'free' deals is there's no fixed minimum spend, or requirement to buy a 'main meal'. This means you could pay just 65p for a piece of fruit in a Tesco café to claim the freebie.

Kids’ meals usually cost up to £3.50, and they can choose from a breakfast (such as beans or avocado on toast), a hot meal deal (such as fish fingers or mac and cheese with a vegetable side dish), or the pick 'n' mix deal (sandwich, drink, fruit and two snacks). What's available may vary across different cafés.

New coupon (such as crisps, cookies and more) every week via its app

Tesco is dishing out freebies every Thursday* to selected Clubcard members via its free app (Android/iOS). Despite ending its 'Freebie Thursdays' on Thursday 23 July, Tesco has brought them back with no confirmed end date at present - we'll update here when we know more.

You’ll need to check your account on Thursday morning to see if you’ve been given a free grocery item coupon. Tesco is keeping quiet on the full eligibility criteria, but it told us coupons are given to selected Clubcard members based on previous shopping habits.

Each coupon is valid for seven days from the date it is issued. You’ll need to redeem your freebie in-store (find your nearest*) by scanning the coupon in your Tesco app.

What freebies can I expect?

Tesco isn't revealing the freebies in advance, but here's what we've seen so far:

• Thursday 20 August - 500ml bottle of Fever-Tree Light Sicilian lemonade

• Thursday 6 August - 250g bag of Rana pasta

• Thursday 30 July - 150g bag of Tesco Finest crisps (multiple flavours)

• Thursday 16 July - One Tesco stonebaked pizza

• Thursday 9 July - 1.25l bottle of Diet Coke or Coca-Cola Zero Sugar

Discounts on homeware, electricals & toys

If you go online to Tesco's eBay outlet*, you can get discounts on a range of items such as phones, TVs, homeware, electricals and more. It sells both new items and customer returns – all refurbished items are clearly marked.

When we checked on Monday 10 August, there were 250+ items listed on the eBay outlet. We spotted some outlet items were price-matched at other retailers, including Amazon. Make sure you always compare prices to ensure you're getting the best deal possible – even when shopping at an outlet.

Max discount we spotted: 67%
Min discount we spotted: 6%
Typical discount based on 10 random items: 27%

Unfortunately, you can't collect Clubcard points via the Tesco outlet.
